Will mortgage rates go down again into the 4's in the next couple of weeks?

The news that company's slowing on laying people off drove up mortgage rates. It seems like that was a needle of good news in a haystack of bad news.

No they will not since this is the peak home buying season. Rates will continue their climb.
Mar C is right, there is no way to answer this but the other person is right it's peak buying season. The government wants folks to buy homes so I don't think they will raise rates to high.
Most probably not. Mortgage rates are based upon the rate which issues such as Treasury notes are bringing on the market. As those rates fluctuate, so do long term mortgage rates. If you want to follow mortgage rates, keep a close eye on such issues.
